Who we are

Metropolitan School Frankfurt is a mid-sized international, whole day preschool, primary and secondary school. We are fully authorized to teach the PYP (Primary Years Programme) by the International Baccalaureate and key elements of the German curriculum. The school provides an international education for around 300 students from over 30 countries, speaking 28 different languages. Our school is well on the way to achieving its aim of doubling in size in the coming years and has already been licensed for Middle School by the relevant school authorities.

Our classes are all taught by native English speaking teachers. We believe in a child centred, inquiry based pedagogy. Instruction is in English, but daily German lessons are taught formally from Transition (5 year olds) onwards.

Early morning care starts at 8:00. Our school day commences at 8:45 and concludes at 15:30. An extensive after school enrichment programme is available until 17:30.

Metropolitan School Frankfurt has state of the art facilities. Our three wing school building currently houses over 30 classrooms, a science laboratory and multimedia centre. An information technology suite is attached to our well equipped Learning Resource Centre and library. Interactive whiteboards are being introduced strategically throughout the Primary School. Before School Care and After School Care have a large, dedicated space, where the students can relax at the beginning and end of the school day and complete any set homework. Our 300 square metre MFR (Multi Function Room) serves as a sport centre and assembly hall. Lunch is available for all children and is served in the dining rooms.

Our spacious 8,500 square metre school campus is located in Frankfurt am Main and is easily reached from surrounding areas by car and public transport.

The school benefits from its special authorization status and funding granted by the German School authorities ("Ersatzschule") and the City of Frankfurt preschool authorities ("genehmigter und geförderter Kindergarten"). This ensures that Metropolitan School Frankfurt offers highly competitive fees.
