Pastoral Care

A good relationship between students and staff is paramount to generating a positive climate within the school community where every individual feels valued and cared for at all times. Most importantly, students at MSF are encouraged to develop and value a respect for themselves.

This is what we call Pastoral Care at Metropolitan School Frankfurt.

The concept of Pastoral Care is not something that is new to schools. It takes place every day and all members of staff at MSF have a significant role to play in modeling the importance of building and maintaining relationships grounded in mutual respect, dignity, fairness, reconciliation, restoration, compassion and justice. Importantly, teachers are always the first points of call in terms of providing pastoral care to their classes.

Our Pastoral Care Coordinator Mr. Scott Hardgrove is an important point of contact for students, parents and families experiencing concerns about social and personal development issues. He is also available to attend and chair family meetings as appropriate. Mr Hardgrove acts in an advisory role to teachers in the area of student personal development and takes an active role in promoting positive student behaviour and mental health.
