The MSF curriculum is international, while taking into account the local culture and national academic curriculum requirements of Germany. It is a comprehensive and balanced curriculum designed to meet the needs of the international and domestic student population. It caters to a wide range of abilities, learning styles and backgrounds with the commitment of providing an academic curriculum, including a worldwide recognised university preparation programme in Grades 11 and 12.
Details of our Primary Years Programme (PYP) curriculum for the Early Years and the Primary School are included in the parent handbook, a copy of which is available in the school office and in the Downloads section of our Parent Zone.
The MSF Secondary School Programme curriculum for Grade 6 and above is based on the Cambridge Lower Secondary curriculum, leading to IGCSE examinations in a wide range of subjects. These are externally validated and internationally recognized qualifications taken at the end of Grade 10.
All of our teaching implicitly entails key elements of the German curriculum in both Primary School and Secondary School so that families who move to another city where there is no international school may seamlessly join a school running the German curriculum.
Our externally validated Secondary School IGCSE examinations after Grade 10 are recognized as equivalent “Realschulabschluss” in Germany.
