For pedagogical reasons, we strive to have around 22 students in Early Years and Grade 1 and no more than 24 students from Grade 2 upwards.
Our school day commences at 08:30 (08:25 in the Secondary School) and concludes at 15:30.
Before and After School care is available for students in Kindergarten to Grade 6 from 08:00 – 08:30 and from 15:30 until 17:30
The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) Programme is the curriculum framework offered in the Early Years and the Primary School.
Grades 6 through Grade 8 – Cambridge Secondary 1 Programme
Grades 9 and 10 – Cambridge Secondary 2 Programme (IGCSE)
Grades 11 and 12 – IB Diploma Programme
Metropolitan School Frankfurt offers a hot lunch service to all its students. All food is Bio and Halal approved and provided by an external catering company.
Metropolitan School Frankfurt offers a variety of ways for parents to become involved. Upon enrollment, our Welcoming Committee assists contacts new families settling into Frankfurt. Opportunities are available to participate in our Friends of MSF committee, as a class or parent representative and much, much more.
English is the language of instruction. German is offered in a variety of levels, from absolute beginners to native speakers. Spanish and French are offered as a third language from Grade 6 and above. English as an Additional Language is available for all students entering MSF who do not speak English.
Students in Early Years and Primary do not need their own laptop as the School has extensive Information Technology facilities. From Grade 6 and above, students participate in a Bring Your Own Device programme where they bring an iPad or laptop from home to use at school.
As an international school, we recruit teachers from all over the globe. Our teachers are all native speakers in the language they are teaching in.
The Metropolitan School Frankfurt community is represented by 50 different nationalities spanning every corner of the globe.
Our extra curricula programme is available to all students from Grade 1 and above. Students can choose a variety of sporting and artistic pursuits.
Additional music lessons are offered to students of all ages in a wide variety of instruments, provided by external music teachers.
Day trips are offered to all students from Kindergarten and above. From Grade 2 and above, residential trips are also available. These trips are all linked to the curriculum, enhancing the learning experience of our students.
Metropolitan School Frankfurt prides itself on communication. Parents have full access to ManageBac, our online school management system that enables families to view real time the progress of their student. Other important communication tools are weekly notes to parents, parent teacher conferences and information evenings are provided.
The school has a relationship with an external transport provider at additional cost and details can be provided upon enrollment. Metropolitan School Frankfurt is easily reached by public transport.
Most families live within a 5-10 kilometre radius of the school in Frankfurt. Many students come to MSF from outlying areas of Frankfurt and across the Rhein Main area.
